Back Story
Rec-to-rec (recruiters recruiting recruiters) is a well-established niche, but most existing job boards are generic aggregators with no sector focus. Recruit2Recruit was conceived as a targeted platform for Life Sciences and Energy — two industries where specialist recruitment knowledge commands a premium and where good recruiters are hardest to find.
The platform serves two audiences: recruitment agency owners looking to hire recruiters, and in-house talent acquisition managers at pharma, biotech, and energy firms who need to build internal recruitment teams.
The Build
- Selected and themed Jobhunt — a WordPress child theme purpose-built for job boards — with custom branding, logo, and colour palette.
- Installed and configured WP Job Manager for core listing functionality: job posting, application management, and employer dashboards.
- Created 5 job categories (Life Sciences, Energy, In-House TA, Agency Rec2Rec, Executive Search) with 10 demo recruiter listings to seed the board.
- Built standard job board pages: /jobs/, /post-a-job/, /job-dashboard/, About, FAQ, and How It Works.
- Planned Reed and Adzuna API integration — live recruiter job pulls to supplement direct postings and keep the board fresh without manual curation.
